The Société Acadienne Port-Royal (SAPR) is responsible for the dissemination and promotion of Acadian history and heritage in the City of Bécancour. Its mandate is to highlight regional Acadian heritage through various means, highlighting the impact of the Acadian builders' influence on the regions of Mauricie and Centre-du-Québec.
